Welcome to the Saginaw Valley Master Gardener Association!

Our organization is comprised of knowledgeable, personable and fun Master Gardeners, dedicated to fulfilling our mission.

The Board of Directors strives to arrange speakers for our fall and winter meetings to address topics, which are educational, interesting and pertinent to the needs of our expanding membership.
Attending meetings also is an easy, pleasurable means to earn education hours for Advanced Master Gardener status, or re-certification.

Membership allows you to take part in our annual plant exchanges each May and September — and periodic field trips of interest to gardeners. Tours of members’ gardens, for the May to August meetings, provide a change of pace.

The first Saturday of each October, we host a day-long seminar, “An Autumn Affair for Gardeners,’’ featuring gardening experts discussing a variety of topics, and vendors, selling gardening products. Master Gardeners earn education hours for their attendance, as well as have fun.

Other benefits of SVMGA membership include participation in an annual seed exchange, magazine trade and garden catalog sharing. We have logo wear available each year to demonstrate our pride in being Master Gardeners.

As a member of SVMGA, we encourage you to attend meetings and support the activities of the association.
