Master Gardener Volunteers are invited to earn volunteer hours by staffing an informational booth called “The Plant Doctor” in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources tent at Michigan State University’s Ag Expo, July 15-17, on the MSU campus (corner of farm Lane and Mt. Hope Road).

Volunteers are needed to answer questions from Ag Expo visitors about their yard and garden problems, direct them to their county MSU Extension offices (list provided) and hand out submission forms for the MSU Plant Diagnostic Center.

Two-hour blocks are available on Tuesday and Wednesday (July 15 and 16) as follows:

  • 9 - 11 a.m.
  • 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
  • 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Volunteers are needed on Thursday (July 17):

  • 9- 11 a.m.
  • 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Parking and admission to Ag Expo are free, so no car pass or ticket is needed.
