St. Joseph County Grange Fair
Master Gardener Volunteer Project
from 2006

This is the Educational Garden at the St. Joseph County Grange Fair. Ten of our very talented and dedicated volunteers are responsible for the design, layout, planting and maintaining of the garden.

Over a thousand visitors walked through the garden during fair week (September 17 - 23). Among the visitors were 32 third grade classes who visit many stops for "Ag-Citing Experience". One of the gardens within the educational garden is the children's garden. Where they were amazed by the Sensitivity Plant, Peanut plants, and Eyeball plant, to name a few.

Other gardens within the Educational garden are Native Grasses, A pond and rock garden, Prairie Grasses, Perennial garden, Children's garden, Annuals, Zen garden, Cancer fighting vegetables, Herbs and Spices, and Fruit Garden.
