Master Gardeners Sandy Lundy and Susan Lawcock lead volunteer activities at the Bridgeport Historical Society gardens.

SVMGA members plant the filtration around the new pond at the Children’s Zoo of Saginaw. Rain gardens will help filter run-off that could affect the fish in the pond.

SVMGA members (from left) Judy Ross, Tom Brubaker and Grey Gitzen man a table at SVMGA’s annual educational seminar, “An Autumn Affair for Gardeners,’’ held the first Saturday in October. The event is open to all gardeners and features experts discussing a variety of topics, plus vendors, selling garden products.

Penguins at the Children’s Zoo of Saginaw point out weeds during an annual spring clean-up. SVMGA members serve on the zoo’s horticulture committee and help maintain the gardens there.
