The Evangelical Home of Sterling Heights
and the Macomb Master Gardeners
had a Garden Walk on August 26th, 1999.

Posing in front of the Gardens after the drenching rain that came same
time as the walk was scheduled are Jan Bryant, Marilyn Assiff,Cheryl Nix, Sandra Richards,
Marqueta Cronin, Lucille Day, Dub Hearon, Delane Lombardi, Erika Zoller, Marquita Cronin,
Paula McCarter, Bob Jungwirth, Fran Gillich.
Other MG's that were present but not for the picture are: George Payne, Teri
Moceri, Rick
& Gerri Hammerick, Judy Sorise. Was the EH Garden Walk a success? In spite of the ever
changing weather, I say yes. There were 16 Master Gardeners in attendance,
most of whom were people who have spent hours in preparation for the event. Accompanying
the 16 Master Gardeners were 5 spouses. Additionally, and most importantly, we had about
25-30 residents and resident family members walk (or ride) the garden. Two groups of 5
visited from the Alzheimer area. |

On September 18 1999 the Macomb County Master Gardener's had a picnic at Dodge Park for
the families, We enjoyed a Nature Walk with a Naturalist and lots of prizes donated for
all.Standing waiting for the door prize are Betty and Gary Pieper Sue
Trupiano, Peg Toth
and other M.G. Look at all the prizes the master Gardeners are winning at the Family
picnic, |

Richard Frank, Carolyn Taylor and Henrietta and Nancy are passing out lots of flower
seeds to plant next year. |
