NACAA ANNUAL MEETING

We want to welcome you to join us at our next annual meeting/professional improvement conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico on August 5-9, 2001. In addition to the folks pictured above Bill Robb, Julie Pioch, Dale Mutch, Larry Olsen, and Don Juchartz attended this years meeting in Jackson Mississippi. If you didnt attend, you missed a great meeting.
But lets not dwell on the past
What can you expect from attending the 2001 National Meeting/Professional Improvement Conference?
Professional Improvement: From technical sessions to tours, and from Search for Excellence seminars to poster sessions, the NACAA AM/PIC is full of wonderful opportunities for professional improvement. Members leave the conference with increased professional skills and a greater understanding Extension programming in other parts of the U.S. Through MSU and our association, funds are available for those making presentations or presenting posters at the national meeting.
Recognition of Programming Excellence: The NACAA AM/PIC recognizes you and your colleagues for the great work that you do. In Mississippi our associations members received several national and regional awards this year. We would like to see this increased even more for 2001 in New Mexico. Through our association, funds are available for those receiving awards at the national meeting.
Leadership Development: State and National leadership opportunities allow members to grow personally and professionally. Your involvement in these opportunities also allows you to give back to the association and your colleagues.
Collegiality Opportunities: Through attending National AM/PIC meetings, you will have the opportunity to meet other extension agents from around the country. These opportunities can lead to increased resources, program opportunities and friendships.
Your MAEA association strongly encourages your involvement in the next NACAA AM/PIC in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We know that it will be a wonderful experience for you (and your family if applicable) and also a highlight of you Extension career. Remember, first time attendees also may have a wave in their registration fees.
