

National MAEA and NACAA Awards
MAEA is the Michigan affiliate of the National Association of County Agricultural Agents (NACAA) that represents extension professionals across the country. Every year NACAA sponsors an Annual Meeting and Profession Improvement Meeting and gives National Awards for programming excellence among MAEA members.
The NACAA ACHIEVEMENT AWARD is for young agents with less than ten years of experience. The NACAA DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD is for agents with more than 10 years of experience. The deadline for these awards is in December.
Communications Awards
Recognize NACAA members who excel in communicating programs and ideas to their
clientele. These awards are given annually at the State, Regional and National
levels. The deadline for these awards is March 15.
Pursell Pinnacle Award
The purpose of the Pursell Pinnacle Award for Outstanding Humanitarian
service is to recognize an active NACAA member who has distinguished him/herself as an
outstanding humanitarian in the area(s) in which they have lived and served, and who
delivers effective Agricultural extension educational programing. Each state is
allowed one award winner per year. The deadline for this award is in February.
