Membership Benefits

Professional Development through conferences, exhibits, and state and regional staff meetings;

Mentors for new members to help them become acquainted with the Association as well as their new position;

Leadership Development for board members representing every region in the state;

Scholarships to support professional development, travel studies, advanced studies, and attendance at the National 4-H Conference;

Communication with Administration, the Michigan 4-H Foundation, and other associations within Extension;

Representation on committees for the Michigan 4-H Foundation, planning state Extension conferences, and for hiring new state staff;

Recognition for accomplishments within the profession.

Membership

All Extension personnel involved with 4-H programming responsibilities are eligible for membership with full voting privileges.

Guest Courtesy Membership

Available to dues paid members of MAEA, the MAEHA, and the MESA at a separate annual fee.  This entitles members to attend meetings and serve as a member of a committee.  However, guest members are not entitled to vote, serve on the board, or serve as committee chairperson.  National association membership is optional at full current rate.

Life Membership

Extension retirees from the 4-H Youth Staff are eligible for life membership upon payment of a sum equal to the current dues.
