MAE4-HYS Membership & Board Goals

1. To create a smooth transition process for the transfer of regional committee responsibilities.

Explanation:

The outgoing regional chair needs to transfer informational binder to the next regional chair at Spring Conference or as soon as their duties conclude.

 2. To promote and maintain communication between Association members.

Explanation:

It is the responsibility of the regional chair to report to their region on the happenings at board meetings.

Regional vice-chairs will send the minutes of their meetings to the Webmaster to be posted on the MAE4-HYS Website.

MAE4-HYS board secretary will send the minutes of the board meetings to the Webmaster to be posted on the MAE4-HYS Website.

Regional chairs are encouraged to include MAE4-HYS Website address on their agendas for regional meetings and have brochures on-hand.

3. To advocate for professional development and advancement opportunities for 4-H staff.

Explanation:

MAE4-HYS members will keep 4-H staff informed of professional development opportunities that arise.

MAE4-HYS members will encourage staff to seek professional development opportunities when available.

MAE4-HYS members will be encouraged to partake in scholarship, award, and grant opportunities.

 4. To increase participation and attendance at MAE4-HYS board meetings.

Explanation:

MAE4-HYS board members are encouraged to participate in opportunities such as conference calls, car pooling, and Breeze.

MAE4-HYS board members are encouraged to use travel and lodging financial support as identified in the MAE4-HYS budget.

 5. To continue to support the Michigan 4-H Foundation.

Explanation:

MAE4-HYS is committed to having a representative on Michigan 4-H Foundation Board Committees.

MAE4-HYS members will support and encourage the use of the Michigan 4-H Foundation entities.
