The Junior Citizen Planner Certificate of Completion recognizes youth who have earned a level of competency and expertise about land use issues. Earning the JCP certificate is a great thing for youth to list on award and scholarship applications.

Earning the Junior Citizen Planner Certificate of Completion is optional. It is possible to use the materials and not earn a certificate.

In order to provide participants with the well-rounded skills to become effective land use decision-makers and citizens, certificate requirements include the following:

• Completion of one Community and Civics Indoor Activity of any length.
• Completion of one Geography Indoor Activity of any length.
• Completion of one Environmental and Land Use Indoor Activity of any length.
• Completion of one Outdoor Activity or your own Community Service Project of any length.

You will need to complete the evaluation form found under the Evaluation menu bar at the top of the page after you have completed all of the required activities in order for certificates to be mailed. You may want to review the evaluation form in advance so you know what information is required of you.

You may also want to consider completing more than the required activities in case some participants are absent so that all may earn a certificate.
