Comments: Balkan Pine (Vis. 1) is a rather slow-growing tree
and so may be useful in smaller landscapes. The narrow crown
is covered with dark green foliage (Vis. 2). As its name
implies, the tree is native to Europe. On mature trees the
bark the purplish bark forms smooth areas that are bordered
by fissures.

Cultivars:
'Arnold Dwarf' - A small, upright dwarf with dense
foliage.
