Flowers: yellow
Comments: Indian grass (Vis. 1) is rather adaptable once
established as it will tolerate wet, dry, or poor soil.
Best growth occurs in a moist soil where the plant is
exposed to full sun. The flowers are dark yellow and may be
used in fresh or dried arrangements. The foliage will turn
purple in the fall. The plant will self-seed leading to
volunteer plants.
Propagation: Seed or division.
Cultivars:
'Bluebird' - Bluish foliage (Vis. 2).
'Sioux Blue' - The foliage is blue.
