11/12/99
Lathyrus latifolius--Perennial Pea
Hardiness Zones: 3 to 7
Height: 8 ft Spacing: 2 ft
Type: herbaceous perennial
Flowers: Purple, pink, white, red
Comments: Perennial Pea should be given a sunny location
and any well-drained garden soil. The plants will require
some support on which they can climb. Because of their
size, these plants are best used at the back of flower
beds. Flowering usually occurs in mid-summer.
Propagation: Division is possible but it is often better
to start new plants from seed.
