Syringa laciniata--Cutleaf Lilac

Comments: As its name implies, this lilac has cut leaves
which give the plant a finer texture than other lilacs.
The plant will tolerate heat and so is often used in
southern landscapes. The flowers are pale lavender.

Cultivars:
diversifolia - Not actually a cultivar. This plant is a
hybrid between S. laciniata and S. pinnatifolia. The
leaves are deeply cut.
