Comments: This deutzia is very similar to D. scabra. The
plant bears white flowers and has a purplish red fall
foliage color.
Cultivars:
'Nakiana' - A dwarf growing 2 feet tall and 4 feet
wide. The double white flowers are followed by a
burgundy fall foliage color.
'Nikko' - A low, spreading plant (Vis. 1) only 2 feet
tall or less. It produces white flowers (Vis. 2) and
has a burgundy fall color.
'Nikko Variegata' - A form of 'Nikko' that has leaves
with white margins.
