Comments: This shrub (Vis. 2) is usually found in landscapes
in the form of its variety. The green fruits are fragrant
but not especially ornamental. The orange flowers are
produced in early spring. There is no fall foliage color.

Cultivars:
var. alpina - (Vis. 1) A dwarf form that is only one to
two feet tall but spreading to four feet.
