Comments: This European native can tolerate wet and
infertile soils. Best growth will probably be in wet to
moist soil. The tree may for multi-stemmed clumps that have
grayish brown bark. The rapid growth rate and hardy
constitution make the plant a suitable choice for use in
windbreaks. The fall color is yellow.
