Leafhoppers
This is a large family of plant feeding insects. Adults
range in size from 3 to 15 mm and come in an endless
variety of colors. Feeding damage may appear as white
stippling or browning of the foliage, or curling and
withering of leaves. The immature leafhoppers are usually
greenish yellow and rapidly scoot sideways along the
undersides of leaves when disturbed. Adult leafhoppers
fly when disturbed, appearing like tiny green moths as
they dart towards a different branch.
