Comments: Weigela flower color varies, depending on the
cultivar. The plant is useful for late spring or early
summer flowering.

Cultivars:
'Alexandra' - (Vis. 1) (Wine and Roses TM) - The purple
leaves are combined with pink flowers (Vis. 2). The
foliage coloration intensifies later in the season.
'Aurea' - Plants 6 feet tall have light pink flowers
and green and yellow leaves.
'Boskoop Glory' - Salmon pink flowers.
'Bristol Ruby' - Red flowers (Vis. 3) produced
sporadically throughout the growing season.
'Bristol Snowflake' - White flowers flushed with pink.
'Carnival' - Red, white and pink flowers (Vis. 4) are
produced on the same plant.
'Evita' - A slow growing, compact plant (Vis. 5) with
bright red flowers (Vis. 6) produced in spring and then
periodically.
'French Lace' - The leaves have yellow margins, the
flowers are dark red.
'Java Red' - A hardy plant (Vis. 7) with purplish foliage
and deep pink flowers (Vis. 8).
'Minuet' - A hardy cultivar with purplish foliage and
flowers that are red, purple and yellow.
'Nain Rouge' - A dwarf producing reddish orange
flowers. The fall foliage color is red.
'Pink Delight' - Deep pink flowers (Vis. 9), hardier than
other pink flowered cultivars.
'Pink Princess' - A hardy cultivar with bright pink
blooms.
'Polka' - A compact plant with pink (Vis. 10) flowers
having a yellow throat.
'Purpurea' - Purple leaves and pink flowers.
'Red Elf' - A dwarf, 2 feet tall with red flowers.
'Red Prince' - Red flowers (Vis. 11) that do not fade to
purple are produced in spring and then again in late
summer.
'Rosea' - Pink flowers.
'Rubidor' - Yellow foliage and red flowers (Vis. 12) are
combined on plants about 5 feet tall.
'Rumba' - A compact plant (Vis. 14) with foliage tinged
with purple. The flowers are red (Vis. 13) with a
yellow throat.
'Samba' - A compact, 3-foot plant with (Vis. 15) red
flowers and copper tinted leaves.
'Sunny Princess' - The leaves (Vis. 16) have yellow
margins and the flowers are pink.
'Suzanne' - Pale pink to white flowers, leaves with white
variegation.
'Tango' - Dark red flowers and purplish foliage are
produced on plants about 3 feet tall.
'Vanicek' - A red flowered (Vis. 17) cultivar.
'Variegata' - Pink flowers (Vis. 18) are combined with
leaves edged with cream.
'Variegata Nana' - A dwarf with pink flowers and leaves
edged with white.
'Victoria' - Purple foliage are combined with dark pink
flowers.
'White Knight' - White flowers (Vis. 19) are produced all
summer.
