Comments: Bumald Spirea is usually seen in landscapes in
the form of one of its several cultivars. These tolerant
plants transplant easily and can be used in sandy soils.
Cultivars:
'Anthony Waterer' - Rose pink flowers.
'Coccinea' - Dark red flowers on a compact plant.
'Crimson Glory' - Dark red flowers.
'Crispa' - A compact plant with burgundy red new growth
and pink flowers.
'Dart's Red' - Dark red flowers (Vis. 1) that fade to
rose pink as they age.
'Dolchica' - A rounded, 2 foot tall plant with pink
flowers (Vis. 2) and bluish-green foliage.
'Froebelii' - The flowers (Vis. 3) are bright pink and
the foliage is tipped with purple in spring.
'Gumball' - A compact, rounded selection with pink
flowers (Vis. 4).
'Monhub' (Limemound) - The foliage comes out yellow
tinged with russet becoming lime green. The flowers
are light pink (Vis. 5). The fall color is orange red.
'Norman' - A dwarf less than 2 feet tall with pink
flowers (Vis. 6) and a red fall color.
