Flowers: Pink, red, white

Comments: This plant, or its cultivars, are often used as
a ground cover. The plant stems trail over the ground and
root where they touch the soil. The flowers are
ornamental in the summer and the reddish foliage turns a
deeper red in the fall. On good sites the plant may
become invasive. Provide a sunny growing area and a well-
drained soil.

Propagation: Propagation is by division.

Cultivars:
'Bailey's Gold' - Bright yellow flowers.
'Bronze Carpet' - Plants with bronze foliage produce
pink flowers.
'Dragon's Blood' - Red flowers (Vis. 1) are combined with
bronze foliage.
'Fulda Glow' - Bronze-red foliage all season, red
flowers (Vis. 2).
'John Creech' - Green foliage, pink flowers in summer.
'Red Carpet' - Reddish foliage (Vis. 3) and red flowers.
'Rosy Glow' - Dark red flowers and bluish-green leaves.
'Splendens' - Bright red flowers and leaves with red
margins.
'Tricolor' - Pink flowers, the foliage is green marked
with creamy white and pink.
