Comments: Rock Soapwort is a good rock garden plant for
sites in full sun and with a well-drained soil. The plant
has a trailing habit (Vis. 2) and produces a profusion of
pink flowers (Vis. 1) in June with a scattering of blooms
the rest of the summer. The plant is cut back after it
flowers and is hardy. Winter survival is dependent on the
plant growing in well-drained soil.
Propagation: Propagation is by cuttings taken in summer or
by division in the spring. Seed may also be used.
