Rodgersia aesculifolia--Fingerleaf Rodgersia

Comments: Rodgersia is a very large, coarse plant (Vis. 1)
that can be used as an accent. The large leaves (Vis. 3)
resemble those of plants in the genus aesculus. The flowers
(Vis. 2) appear in late spring and are borne in large
clusters. The plant is suitable for use in wet areas and
will require a moist soil. A suitable light exposure will
be shade or partial shade.
Propagation: Divide the plant in the spring.
Cultivars
henrici - Another species similar to R. aesculifolia
except for its pink flowers and longer leaflets.
