Comments: Rose acacia is beautiful in bloom but it is a
potential weed. Plant it in a sunny location with dry
soil. Sucker formation can lead to a plant much larger
than desired. Frequent pruning is needed. The pink
flowers (Vis. 2) are borne in loose, hanging clusters in
early summer. The twigs and seed pods (Vis. 1) are covered
with reddish-brown bristles.

Cultivars:
'Flowering Globe' - A rounded plant that produces pink
flowers. Listed as a hybrid of R. hispida and R. h.
'Macrophylla'.
