Comments: Alpine Currant is a small (Vis. 1), rounded shrub
that can be sheared. Neither the flowers (Vis. 2) nor the
fruit are particularly ornamental. The plant may be grown
in sun or shade.

Cultivars:
'Europa' - An upright plant about the same size as the
species.
'Green Mound' - A dwarf with a height and spread of
about 3 feet.
'Pumila' - A rounded dwarf less than 3 feet tall.
'Spreg' (Green Jeans TM) - A Spring Meadow Nursery
selection with glossy green foliage that has superior
summer leaf retention.
