RHUS INSECT PROBLEMS
Aphids suck plant juices and can be controlled with
sprays of properly labeled pesticides. The insects can be
dislodged with a high pressure water spray from the garden
hose.
Scales are controlled with dormant oil applied in the
spring before plants begin to grow. The preferred method
of control involves regular inspection for early detection
of the infestation then spraying with dormant oil.
