Rhoeo--Moses-In-The-Bullrushes
Type: house plant
Comments: Rhoeo (Vis. 1) is easy to grow and has long leaves
which are green on top and purple beneath. Best growth is
in medium light or in an east window. In other windows,
provide shade from strong summer sunshine. Keep the soil
evenly moist although some drying out between watering is
tolerated. Use any house plant fertilizer according to
label directions. Ideal temperatures are 50 degrees at
night and 70 degrees during the day.
Propagation: Propagation is by cuttings taken in the
spring or by offsets. Plants may be started from seed by
crumbling an old blossom cluster then placing it on soil.
