Pulsatilla--Pasque Flower

Flowers: Purple, blue
Comments: Pasque Flowers grow in shade and prefer a light
soil. Most are early bloomers. The flowers (Vis. 1) are
followed by fuzzy, globe-shaped fruits that can persist on
the plant. The finely divided leaves give the plant a fern-
like appearance.
Propagation: Propagation is by division in spring or fall.
Root cuttings may also be used. The plants are best left
undisturbed.
Cultivars:
'Alba' - White flowers.
'Papageno' - Fringed, semi-double flowers in shades of
pink, red, blue and purple.
'Rubra' - Flowers in shades of magenta to red.
