Prunus incisa--Fuji Cherry

Comments: This cherry is a small tree or large shrub. It
is usually present in landscapes in the form of one of its
cultivars. The purplish black fruit are about 1/4 inch
in diameter.
Cultivars:
'Dream Catcher' - This cultivar is a hybrid of P.
incisa and P. campanulata. The light pink flowers
(Vis. 2) are displayed on a plant reaching a height and
spread of 25 feet. The fall foliage color is orange to
purplish-red.
'Okame' - Okame Flowering Cherry is an early flowering
cherry with a long floral display that is enhanced by
the colorful flower buds. The flowers (Vis. 1) are
small but produced in large numbers. The fall color is
combination of yellow, orange and orange-red.
'Okame' is the result of a cross between P. incisa
and P. campanulata.
'Pendula Alba' - A pendulous cultivars with white
flowers and an orange-red fall foliage color.
