Heuchera americana--Rock Geranium

Hardiness Zones: 4 to 8
Height: 2 ft Spread: 2 ft
Type: herbaceous perennial
Flowers: White

Comments: Rock Geranium is native to North America where
it is found in dry, upland woods. The plant is grown more
for its foliage than its small flowers. The plants grow
best in sun but will tolerate some shade. Provide a well-
drained soil and a protective mulch in winter. The
foliage coloration varies with the cultivar but in the
species the green leaves are mottled with white.

Propagation: Propagate by seed or by division done in the
spring.

Cultivars:
'Ruby Veil' - The 8-inch leaves are slate gray but
mottled with shades of purple and dark red.
