Ornamental Plants plus Version 3.0 - 00000698
11/12/99
Hedera helix-English Ivy
Hardiness Zones: 5 to 10
Height: 4 in Spread: 12 in
Type: broad-leaved evergreen vine
Comments: This clinging vine (Vis. 2) is most often used as
a ground cover but it also climbs on trees, buildings and
other objects. Grow this vine in shaded spots as it may
winterburn on exposed sites in cold climates. Some of the
cultivars offer improved cold tolerance. The spread
listed above is actually a suggested spacing at planting
time. The plant will spread many feet.
