Eryngium yuccifolium--Rattlesnake-master

Hardiness Zones: 4 to 8
Height: 4 ft Spread: 18 in
Type: herbaceous perennial
Flowers: Blue

Comments: Rattlesnake-master is a U.S. native found in
moist or dry, sandy soil in open areas. The botanical
name refers to the long, narrow leaf shape that is similar
to that of yucca leaves. The flowers are at first light
blue but become white or silvery as they mature.
Established plants should not be disturbed. The plant
will be useful on droughty sites.

Propagation: Propagate by seed, division or root cuttings
all done in the spring. Division will be made more
difficult by the taproot formed by the plant.
