Deschampsia caespitosa--Tufted Hair Grass
Hardiness Zone: 5 to 10

Type: herbaceous perennial

Comments: This grass produces large, open panicles of
white to silver flowers (Vis. 1). The plant grows best on
moist soils when exposed to sun or in shade. A tolerance
for wet soils makes the plant useful for planting near

'Goldehaenge' - The flower panicles turn gold in the
autumn.
'Schottland' - The tufts of leaves are 2 feet tall.
