Cobaea scandens--Cup-and-saucer Vine

Height: 20 ft Spacing: 2 ft
Type: annual
Flowers: Blue, purple, white

Comments: This large annual vine produces large, bell-
shaped flowers. Provide a sunny growing area with a
light, rich soil. After the flowers drop, the green
bracts remain and then a seed pod forms, providing
additional interest. Tendrils help the vine climb on
rough surfaces or a trellis.

Propagation: Propagate by seed. The seed should be
started early indoors. The seed are flat and may
germinate best when planted edgewise.
