Asarum europaeum--European Wild Ginger

Hardiness Zone: 5 to 7
Height: 6 in Spacing: 10 in

Comments: European Wild Ginger is considered to be a prime
candidate as a ground cover in damp, shaded areas. The
thick, glossy green leaves are evergreen. The purplish-
brown flowers are usually hidden by the leaves and so are
not considered to be ornamental. Provide a moist soil
with a pH in the 5.5 to 6.5 range.

Propagation: Propagation is by division in the spring.
