Artemisia lactiflora--White Mugwort
Hardiness Zones: 5 to 8
Height: 5 feet Spacing: 15 in
Type: herbaceous perennial
Flowers: White
Comments: This very tall plant can be used near the back
of the border. The dark green leaves can provide a good
background for shorter plants. The flowers are creamy-
white and quite fragrant. A suitable light exposure is
sun or partial shade. Artemisia has a reputation as a
poor soil plant but this one requires a somewhat richer
soil.
Cultivars:
'Guizho' - Dark foliage is displayed on mahogany-colored
stems. White flowers appear in late summer.
