Anthemis tinctoria--Golden Marguerite

Flowers: Yellow

Comments: Anthemis produces yellow (Vis. 1), daisy-like
flowers that are long-lasting when cut. Remove spent
flowers to prolong blooming. The plant has aromatic foliage
and self seeds prolifically so may become a weed if not
controlled. Flowering is from mid- to late summer.
Provide full sun and plant in any well-drained soil,
Anthemis is short-lived in clay.

Propagation: Propagate by seed, division or cuttings.
Cuttings are taken in spring from softwood. In spring,
the clump may be divided into small tufts of rooted
growths. Seed is planted in spring and germinates in one
to three weeks at 68 degrees.

Cultivars:
'Kelwayi' - 2-inch, yellow flowers are borne on 2 foot
tall stalks.
