As with other members of this genus, self-seeded
volunteers will be a problem. The flowers can be used in
fresh or dried arrangements. The foliage (Vis. 1) is
bluish-green and lobed. The flower heads and stems turn
orange-red in the autumn.
Propagation: Propagation is by seed or division. Division
can be done in either spring or autumn.
