Alchemilla alpina--Mountain Lady's Mantle

Hardiness Zone: 3 to 8
Height: 8 in Spacing: 12 in
Type: herbaceous perennial
Flowers: Yellow

Comments: This low plant can be used as a ground cover or
rock garden plant. The grayish leaves have white margins.
Mountain Lady's Mantle needs an evenly moist soil. The
plant is useful in shaded areas but beware of its invasive
tendencies. Profuse self-seeding can lead to an
overabundance of volunteer plants. The flowers will
actually range in color from yellow to green and are
sometimes used fresh or dried in arrangements.

Propagation: Propagation is by seed or division. Division
can be done in either spring or autumn.
