Ageratum houstonianum--Floss Flower
Height: 12 in Spacing: 12 in
Type: annual
Flowers: Pink, white, blue
Comments: Floss Flower has fluffy looking flowers and can
be used for edging or in containers. The taller cultivars
may be used as cut flowers. Other uses are in rock
gardens or as a winter house plant. Ageratum grows in
well-drained, medium rich soil and does not tolerate
dryness. Provide full sun or partial shade and remove the
old flowers to promote continuous blooming. Floss flower
dies at the first frost. Cultivars will vary in both
height and flower color.
Propagation: Seed can be planted inside or in the garden.
Do not cover ageratum seed as light is needed for
germination. Germination occurs in 5 to 10 days at
temperatures between 70 and 75 degrees. Pinch seedlings
to encourage branching. Ageratum may also be propagated
by cuttings.

'Blanket Blue' (Vis. 1)
'Blue Danube' - Lavender blue flowers.
'Blue Horizon'
'Hawaii Series' (Vis. 2)
