Type: semi- to broad-leaved evergreen shrub
Annual Growth Rate: 12 to 18 inches
Flowers: White
Comments: The white flowers (Vis. 5) are produced all season
until frost ends flowering. The plant can be used in hedges
or in mass plantings. Provide a growing area in full sun or
partial shade. Severe winter weather may kill stems back
to the ground or snow cover, however, it usually sends out
new branches in the spring.
Cultivars:
'Compacta' - A compact form, 3 feet tall.
'Confetti' - The foliage (Vis. 1) is white, pink and
green.
'Francis Mason' - The foliage is variegated with
yellow.
'Little Richard' - A dwarf, 3 feet tall. White flowers
are produced most of the growing season.
'Sherwood' - A 3 to 4 foot tall plant with a dense,
compact habit. (Vis. 3)
'Sunrise' - The foliage (Vis. 4) has a bright yellow
border.
'Prostrata' - A spreading plant only 3 feet tall but 5
feet wide. The new growth is reddish. (Vis. 2)
