Type: herbaceous evergreen perennial                        
Flowers: Blue                                               

Comments: Dalmatian Iris has been used in breeding          
programs for garden irises.  The plant is usually present   
in landscapes in the form of cultivars with variegated      
leaves.  Provide a growing area with sun or partial shade.  

Propagation: Propagate by division.                         

Cultivars:                                                  
   'Argentea Variegata' - The green leaves are striped      
     with white.                                            
   'Aurea Variegata' ('Variegata') - The green leaves are   
     variegated with vertical stripes of creamy yellow.
