Comments: Purple Beautyberry is an arching shrub that       
often dies to the ground where winters are cold.  The       
lavender flowers are followed by the main ornamental        
feature, the purple fruit.                                  

Cultivars:                                                  
   'Issai' - Reported to have improved habit and profuse    
     fruiting beginning when the plant is young.
