Fruit Growth Stages used in the Fruit CAT Alert, the MSU fruit pest control newsletter.
The growth stage pages have lots of pictures. We use the stage of fruit development to track fruit growth. Like any other specialty it has a jargon all its own.
These page is linked to other pages with descriptions of the growth stages used to track fruit development.  This is useful if you do not know the meaning of terms like mouse ears, popcorn, shuck split and pit hardening.
