State-wide Gardening Resources 
   Michigan Horticultural Therapy Association (MHTA) 
The MHTA is dedicated to educating people about horticultural therapy and providing support for horticultural therapy programs. Horticultural therapy involves the use of gardening and plants to promote healing and rehabilitation for people with special needs. Children, the elderly, and people with physical, emotional, or mental impairments can benefit from horticultural therapy programs. The MHTA can help you learn about on-going projects in the community and statewide conferences.    Michigan Integrated Food and Farming Systems 
Michigan Integrated Food and Farming Systems (MIFFS) is dedicated to three main areas: developing farming practices, building community leadership, and directing food supply and farming policies. Of interest to gardeners, MIFFS supports community gardens and Community Supported Agriculture programs such as "Growing in Place."    Michigan Master Gardener Program 
The state coordinator of all Master Gardener programs in Michigan arranges state-wide conferences for Master Gardeners, publishes a newsletter, and provides information about Master Gardener Programs in all counties in Michigan. National Gardening Resources 
   Community Food Security Coalition 
The Community Food Security Coalition is politically active in promoting sustainable, community-based food programs as well as establishing links between food producers and distributors at a local level. Of interest to gardeners, the CFS Coalition supports community gardening projects.    American Community Garden Association 
The American Community Gardening Association is a support network for community gardeners across the nation. It provides educational materials for community garden projects, directs a mentoring program which links new groups with existing groups who have faced similar challenges, holds an annual conference, and conducts educational programs.
