Warren Schauer has provided service to Michigan's Agriculture for over 25 years. Serving farmers, general public, and MSU Extension staff in the counties of the Upper Peninsula and Northeast Lower Michigan. This includes the following counties: U.P. - Alger, Baraga, Chippewa, Delta, Dickinson, Gogebic, Houghton, Iron, Keweenaw, Luce, Mackinac, Marquette, Menominee, Ontonagon, and Schoolcraft, NE Lower- Alcona, Alpena, Cheboygan, Crawford, Montmorency, Oscoda, Otsego, and Presque Isle. His current areas of focus are:

• Providing educational programs and information in various levels of Management Systems, Business Planning and Organization, Business Tax Management, Farm & Business Estate Succession and Transfer Planning, Human Resource Management (labor), PA116, Commodity Marketing and Production economics.

• Supporting the Telfarm Farm Financial Accounting systems on cooperating farms in the Upper Peninsula and Northeast Lower Michigan. Telfarm financial records and business analysis program which is a cooperative effort designed to provide useful income tax and business analysis information to help not only individual producers but the entire Michigan agricultural industry. The system facilitates monitoring of financial progress and identifies strengths and weaknesses within the business. Confidential individual records are grouped by "type of farm" to produce state summaries useful for producers in comparative analysis and for MSU Extension, research and teaching activities.

• Supporting the FINPACK Farm Financial Management software package that gives individuals and farm business the ability to evaluate past performance, do financial long range planning or project future cash flow situations.
