What is RSS?
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication and allows a site to deliver regularly changing content to subscribers. This content is contained in an RSS feed. These feeds, offered by many sites, can be subscribed to with a feed reader, a program that automatically checks websites for new updates and displays them without having to visit the site. A variety of feed readers can be found on the internet, many available for free.
The MSU Extension Emergency Management site uses RSS to provide the same recent update information available in the "Updates" box to users without having to repeatedly visit the site.
