Working across the life span to support the needs of families and communities.

MSU Extension Children, Youth, Families and Communities Regional Linkers and Liaisons

The role of Regional 4-H Linkers and Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) Liaisons is:

  • Communication – Act as an information conduit between the region and State CYFC office, become aware of county programs and needs and attend quarterly meetings (in person or by conference call). Provide information, gather ideas and concerns from the region to be shared with campus staff and vice versa.
  • Relationship Building – Get to know the county staff in the region, act as a State CYFC point person for county staff and offer support and guidance as requested.
  • Assist in Regional Program Capacity Building – Bring university research to the region and assist in investigating new projects and trends. Also identify capacity building needs.
