4-H News Release HandbookNews notepad

The Michigan 4-H News Release Handbook was developed to assist 4-H staff and volunteers in promoting the state 4-H events. On this page you will find links to Microsoft Word downloadable fill-in news releases for state 4-H events. The "Newsrelease List" lists the state 4-H events and links to the MS Word downloadable fill-in news releases.

In the Media Relations section, you will find helpful tips for writing news releases, taking photos and working with the media.

NOTE: Before sending the news releases to the media, please fill-in the appropriate information in the parentheses for each news release.

The Michigan 4-H News Release Handbook was written by Karen Pace, M.S., Associate Program Leader, and revised by Abbey Warren, Student Graphic Artist (2001).
