A list of state and regional 4-H events related to environmental and outdoor education that are scheduled through July 2006 follows. The listing includes what the event is, when and where it will be held, who is eligible to attend and the deadline for registrations to arrive. This list will be updated as more opportunities arise, so check it often.

2006 2006: \| JANUARY \| FEBRUARY \| MARCH \| APRIL \| MAY \| JUNE \| JULY \|
MARCH	4-H Environmental & Outdoor Education Adult & Teen Leader Training Workshop. March 4-5 at Kettunen Center. Enjoy fun, hands-on environmental and outdoor education activities taught in a train-the-trainer format. Leave with many ideas and a wealth of resources to share locally. Session topics will include environmental stewardship, wildlife, forest and water study, land use education (Junior Citizen Planner), and camp counselor training. Don't miss this chance to learn what 4-H has to offer in these areas! Open to adult and teen volunteers aged 13 and up. Register by February 17. APRIL	4-H Shooting Sports Volunteer Workshop. April 27– 30 at Kettunen Center. Open to teen and adult volunteers aged 16 and up. Teams in a variety of disciplines are recommended. Register by April 14.
MAY	Detroit Area Kids Fishing Derby. May date and Detroit location to be announced. Open to kids aged 7 to 14 who are accompanied by an adult. Contact Gary Williams at (313) 833-3299 for details. Project FISH Training Workshop for 4-H Agents, Leaders, Volunteers & Teachers. May 19-21 at Kettunen Center. Open to adults. Register by May 5.
JUNE	4-H Exploration Days. June 21-23 at MSU. Open to young people aged 11 and up and adult chaperons. The registration book will be available online at http://web1.msue.msu.edu/cyf/youth/expodays.html and from county MSU Extension offices by mid-March. Register by May 5. Michigan 4-H Awards Assembly. June 21-22 at MSU. Open to state 4-H award nominees aged 13 and up. Register by May 5.
JULY	4-H Great Lakes & Natural Resources Camp. July 30– August 5 in Presque Isle County. Open to 60 teens aged 13 to 15 by July 1, 2006. Find out more at http://www.msue.msu.edu/msue/cyf/youth/glnrc.html.
